Created as part of the Town's centennial anniversary, each branch of the tree represents a culture present in Town. The tree is seated on the back of a turtle, representing the Indigenous heritage and communities.
Walk the hiking trails at the Fushimi Provincial Park
The Fushimi Lake Provincial Park has two hiking trails to offer. The first one being the Achilles Lake Trail, which is a 1 km trail leading to a small lake at the north side of the campground, offering jaw dropping sunsets. The second trail is the Fire Tower Trail, a 7 km trail leading to one of the few original fire lookout towers left in Ontario. Great North Acres
Great North Acres is located on 72 acres in Jogues,Ontario (15kms South of Hearst) Originally homesteaded by the Bureau family and run as a scrap yard, small engine repair, a farm and abattoir that suffered a total loss due to fire. In October 2020, the dream that was to be Great North Acres was born. With huge ideas, thoughts, and aspirations; We (the Buttnor family) started to build on the foundations that were already set. Planting gardens, building a greenhouse, purchasing cows, chickens and other livestock. Making friends and business acquaintances, all the while learning as we went. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store for us at Great North Acres.

Produced in micro batches by the Rheault family in their 4,000-square-foot home, the Loon Vodka is what's called alpha vodka (which is gluten free even though it is wheat based). It's distinguished by exacting standards established in Russia some 400 years ago - but today, practiced by just six distilleries in the world. Rheault Distillery is the only one outside of Russia and Poland.
